This is where Herbology takes place - in the Greenhouses.

On the school is a bare willow tree, but this isn't like any other - if you get too close, you may have an unfortunate encounter with its branches. This tree guards the entrance to the Shrieking Shack in Hogsmeade.

Here is the creepy and ominous wood that is known as the Forbidden Forest. It's not a good idea to go in here, or you might come across something you didn't plan on.

Here, the acromantulas spin their huge, sticky webs and stay to rest. Their location varies as they move forward, towards Hogwarts, but, as nocturnal creatures, they sleep during the daylight hours. It's dark and misty, in this part of the Forbidden Forest, lush with plants. It's constantly damp, and filled with the fetid scent of rot and decay. There's rarely ever any sunlight. Any humans, centaurs, or even any vermin that venture in here will be killed on site under the command of Arachni and his loyal second-in-command, Aro.

The territory of the centaurs, governed by Jupiter and Onyx, is in a sunnier patch of the forest than the acromantulas' land is. It mainly consists of a clearing, an unusual break in the mainly consistent trees of the forest. There are a few fallen logs, too, which the young colts like to practice jumping over.

Here is the sparkling lake outside of Hogwarts. Beneath this pretty surface lurks the merpeople, grindylows, a giant squid, and who knows what else!
